BIBLICAL TOUR OF ISRAEL
The learning that takes place at Solid Rock Discipleship is not limited to the classroom. Solid Rock students travel across the world together to experience the land of Israel and gain a deeper understanding of the Bible. The trip to Israel is included in the cost of tuition.
What You Will Learn:
Before you travel to Israel, you will spend time in the Holy Land Class understanding the geography of Israel. You will also learn things that will help prepare you for the trip, such as Jewish terminology, significant periods of Israel history, understand Jesus's Jewish background, and archaeology.
While on the Israel Tour, you will encounter the "playing field" of the Bible. You will spend time opening your Bible and read passages that happened at the place you are currently standing. The Bible will come to life before your eyes.
What You Will Do:
Walk the streets of Jerusalem and understand the historical, Biblical city. Explore archaeological ruins from the time of King Herod. Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit Jesus' backyard and understand his life and ministry. Hike through the Judean Desert and a desert oasis mentioned many times in scripture. Learn how the writers of the Bible were influenced by the nature of the land of Israel.
