GRANT WENNERBERG - M. DIV. (IN PROGRESS)

Solid Rock Co-Director - grant@solidrockmn.org

Beginning fall 2021, I began co-directing Solid Rock with my wife, Teirrah. My goal as co-director is to be a friend and resource for both the students and faculty as each new year brings new exciting adventures.

Prior to Solid Rock, I worked as a summer cabin leader at Lake Beauty Bible Camp and then as a seventh-grade social studies teacher in the state of Washington. Throughout my years as a mentor and educator, I learned many strategies to help students be successful both spiritually and academically. I currently hold a B.A. in social studies education from North Dakota State University and I am striving towards earning a Masters in Divinity from Bethel Seminary.

I enjoy exploring the great outdoors. Preferably in a canoe, on a pair of downhill skis, or by a campfire with my beautiful wife. I also love having great conversations with my students and I look forward to hearing your unique story.

TEIRRAH WENNERBERG - MA. CHRISTIAN FORM. (IN PROGRESS)

Solid Rock Co-Director - teirrah@solidrockmn.org

As of fall 2021, I began co-directing Solid Rock Discipleship with my incredible husband, Grant. I have a passion for education, the hearts of people, and learning to live like Jesus. My goal at Solid Rock is to meet students where they are at, encourage them in their walk with Christ, and equip them to be leaders in the world.

I grew up coming to Lake Beauty Bible Camp as a kid, worked on summer staff for two years, volunteered many times, and am excited to be back to partner in the ministries of LBBC. I earned my bachelor's from Western Governors University in Elementary Education and worked as a second-grade teacher in Washington state for a couple of years. I am currently pursing a Masters in Christian Formation through North Park Seminary.

In my free time, you can find me sipping on coffee, playing piano and singing, hiking, and hanging out with friends. I can't wait to get to know you and hear about how the Lord has shown up in your life. I'll bring the coffee :)

TORI JESERITZ

Ministry Staff

The 2022-2023 school year will be my second year of being on the Ministry Staff at Lake Beauty. I have a huge passion for discipleship and walking alongside college-age students as they seek to go deeper in their walk with the Lord. My goal in working with the Solid Rock students is to help them transfer what they are learning in their classes into their daily relationship with the Lord.

I grew up attending Lake Beauty as a camper, had the opportunity to serve for three summers on staff, and am grateful to continue to be a part of this ministry. I am currently working to finish my degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies through the University of Northwestern St. Paul. I have had the opportunity to attend and staff the discipleship training school through YWAM Kona, and I am excited to use what the Lord taught me during my time working in missions to disciple the students at Solid Rock.

I enjoy traveling, going hiking, spending time outdoors, and love a good cup of coffee! Most of all, though, I love getting to get to know new people and seeing how God is working in their life.

IAN O'DONNELL

Ministry Staff

I have worked at Lake Beauty on the summer staff activities team for the past two summers. I graduated from Solid Rock Discipleship in May of 2022. Prior to my first employment at camp, I was a college student for a few years.

My hobbies include watching Star Trek, playing Minecraft, and listening to Tom Petty. I have enjoyed traveling to Israel with Solid Rock and to Europe with my family. One of my favorite places to be is the backfield at Lake Beauty under a clear night sky, staring up at the stars.

The Lord has blessed me with friends and mentors that I have connected with at this camp, and I am very excited to give back and walk with students and guests this year at Lake Beauty.

DENOMINATIONAL AFFILIATION

Solid Rock is a Covenant School of Discipleship with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants, today the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) is a growing, multiethnic, intergenerational mosaic of churches with ministry partnerships in nearly forty countries. The ECC seeks to join God's efforts in the hope of seeing more people engage in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, across more populations, in a more caring and just world.

The Evangelical Covenant Church is:

  • Evangelical, but not exclusive

  • Biblical, but not doctrinaire

  • Traditional, but not rigid

  • Congregational, but not independent

The ECC's essential beliefs are summed up in what are called Covenant Affirmations:

  • We affirm the centrality of the word of God.

  • We affirm the necessity of the new birth.

  • We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.

  • We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.

  • We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.

  • We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.

The Northwest Conference (NWC) is a mission region of the Evangelical Covenant Church. It is comprised of approximately 140 churches in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Lake Beauty Ministries is one of the five camping ministries that serves NWC churches.
