"Forming Christ-centered disciples and developing leaders"
-Mission of Solid Rock Discipleship
Through mentoring and discipleship, service in community, spiritual practices, and biblical instruction, Solid Rock seeks to establish an environment that encourages students to live out Christ-centered discipleship and develop a firm foundation for their faith. Students will discover more about who they are in Christ, how to live like Christ in community with others, and how to lead others to follow Christ’s example.
A year at Solid Rock includes:
Academic Study: Students will work through an intentional curriculum focused on Biblical study, Theology, Church History, Christian Ethics, and Spiritual Formation.
Leadership and Service: Students will assist in the ministry of Lake Beauty through serving in various aspects of our camp ministry developing the skills to serve in and lead our many different areas of responsibility from guest group outings to large program events.
Local Church Involvement: Students will worship at and serve in the ministry of a local church. Students will also serve in these local communities via the ministries of the churches.
EIght Day Boundary Waters Leadership Journey: Students will begin the year on a facilitated leadership experience to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
Holy Land Tour: Students will participate in a two-week tour of Israel that is geared toward bringing the Bible to life and gaining a better understanding of God's Word by literally walking in places where the Biblical story took place.
Discipleship: Students will be challenged and encouraged through one on one mentoring, small groups, community living, and sacred spaces to pray and reflect on everything that they are learning and experiencing.
